Meet Buckley - Buckley Sey Millo (Bilingual Hindi English childrens book)

Unit price  per

The first of this bilingual Hindi-English picture book for children who love to read and love dogs! Kya aap Buckley sey millay hay? Have you met Buckley?

Share a day in the life of this energetic, loving dog as he goes running, plays in the park, and takes a road trip! This fun, bilingual story with pictures is perfect for young and old readers who are beginning to learn Hindi.

Author Neha Shah did not grow up with pets, but fell in love instantly with her now-husband’s dog Buckley. Neha loves reading to her many nieces and nephews. On a recent trip to India, Neha was unable to find bilingual Hindi-English books that her nieces and nephews could read with their parents (some of whom know little-to-no Hindi).

This inspired her to create a children’s book that could help them become familiar with basic Hindi words. Using color-coded learning techniques and thoughtful Hindi transliteration, this bilingual book is a must-have for all multicultural, multilingual families.

Neha, her husband Nish, and Buckley live in Austin, Texas - which is featured prominently in this book! Buckley is a rescue dog, and 5% of every book sold will benefit Austin's local animal shelter organization "Austin Pets Alive!"

This is such a cute story about Buckley, the dog. For any bilingual kids, this is a great book that teaches young readers a new language with simple, easy to pick up words. The color coordinated text lend to easy association between English and Hindi. Highly recommend for South Asian families with young kids!

I love this book! It’s exactly what I was searching for! I like that I can read in English or in Hindi- it’s especially helpful that the Hindi is written in English letters as I am unable to read Hindi script! Perfect for the bilingual family ❤️

This is such a cute book for kids to begin learning Hindi or Urdu. The story is easy and fun for kids to understand and the words are color coded for easy language learning. Plus the illustrations are beautiful! But it’s not just for kids! My husband, who does not speak Hindi, has already been using it to help learn some new words and phrases. Can’t wait for a sequel so I can start collecting these!
